The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm. Present were Aj Alberra, Cindy Strickland, Robin Adams, Linda Long, Cathy Bircham, Wayne Denmark, Ron Gardner, Daryl Jarmon, and Frank Feliciano.
Old Business– The Board spent a considerable amount of time discussing the points system for Photographer of The Year.
Wayne Motioned and Ron seconded the following points system be adopted:
10- Entering Prints at TPPG Meetings
10- Entering Prints at FPP, PPA, SEPPA
10- Entering Prints at local salon
10- publishing an article in the newsletter
25- meriting at local salon
30- meriting at FPP, PPA, SEPPA
20- Winning a Print of the Month Category
10- Winning Overall Print of the Month
25- Best in Show at local salon
5- 3rd at local salon
10- 2nd at local salon
15- 1st at local salon
The points system was approved without opposition.
SARGEANT AT ARMS REPORT: Catering for the next meeting will by from Bacon & Bakin. Cindy motioned and frank seconded that each month we can use a different caterer to have a variety of food at the meetings. The motion passed unopposed
Cathy motioned and Cindy seconded that we keep the catering at a max of $15 per person, so we will have money to pay our speakers. The motion passed unopposed.
Frank motioned and Cindy seconded to have the meetings at the Keller Williams Offices. The motion passed unopposed.
The Board Meeting for March 16th will be held at Martin’s studio in Madison.
SALON- Cindy motioned and Ron seconded that we will have our local salon as the March meeting. The motion passed unopposed.
Linda motioned and Cindy seconded that we will have either an interguild salon or a print critique program in May or June to prepare for state competition. The motion passed unopposed.
WEBSITE: Frank motioned and Ron seconded that Linda will be the primary manager of the website and each Board member will have their own log in. We also need to add an FPP link and also information about sales tax and business licenses. The motion passed unopposed.
