September Meeting | Let’s Shoot! | Tallahassee Professional Photographers Guild

LOCATION: Bella Bella restaurant on North Monroe Street in the NEW MEETING ROOM which is now located through the old meeting room and in the new addition to Bella Bella, 123 East 5th Avenue, Tallahassee, FL 32303

This month we are having a “shoot out”, so bring your camera gear! Utilizing some of our local talent, we will have two different segments – natural light while the sun is still out, and then again once the sun has set for some nighttime shooting (including sparklers!). There will be two stations during each segment, each with a model, so everyone should have ample time to get some tips, and then immediately put them into action!

We will have a slightly modified schedule than usual, so read the details below and come prepared.

THE SCHEDULE:
6:00-6:30pm Everyone arrives to turn in prints and order dinner
6:30-7:15pm Going outside for a natural light instructional led by Linda Long and Kira Derryberry. There will be a model at each station, and you will have an opportunity to photograph them with your own gear.
7:15-8:00pm Come back inside to eat dinner, vote on prints, and go over some general housekeeping items.
8:00-9:00pm Going back outside to learn about off-camera lighting with Linda and Olyn Long, and will also have a demonstration on how to “paint with light” using sparklers with Kylene and Ryan Gay. Bring a tripod plate for a Manfrotto (or your own tripod) if you’d like to try this technique.
